Amid soaring tensions with Taliban, Pakistan hits jackpot. Geological Survey of Pakistan has reportedly unearthed over 30 metric tonnes of gold reserves in Indus River in Attock Region in Punjab. The reserves are a result of erosion from mountainous regions that have been deposited in the riverbed by the Indus waterflow. And the massive reserves are expected to be valued around 800 billion Pakistani rupees. This development comes as Pakistan battles tensions with neighbour Afghanistan, who it accuses of harbouring Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan militants. Watch the video for more.
