A massive earthquake of 8.8 magnitude struck Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula on the morning of 30 July. Authorities promptly issued tsunami warnings for Russia’s several regions, as metres-high waves began to hit the affects coasts. Japan and US’ West Coast were also put on high alert with evacuation orders being issued. This is the second massive quake to hit Russia in less than 10 days. Watch the video for more details.
