Farooq Abdullah had a miraculous escape when a gunman opened fire on him while he was leaving an event. The attacker was seen approaching from behind as Abdullah was walking away from the venue. The gunman then came very close and fired a shot at him at close range. The accused was quickly overpowered and restrained by two officers from the security wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
