Israeli Army has claimed to have intensified operations in central Rafah. This after finding rocket launchers and new tunnels in the city. On May 31, IDF withdrew from north Gaza’s Jabalia to reinforce troops in Rafah. But Hamas released a video of fighting in Rafah, in which IDF’s Merkava tanks can be seen turning fireball due to RPG fire and also soldiers being injured in the building.
