Hundreds of protesters gathered in central London to condemn what they called “old-style colonialism” following the U.S. military operation in Caracas and the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Demonstrators waved Venezuelan and Cuban flags and accused Washington of violating international law in pursuit of oil and regional dominance. Speakers criticised the Trump administration, the UK government, and parts of the international community for double standards, arguing similar actions by other powers would face harsher condemnation. The protest came as Maduro appeared in court in New York and Delcy Rodríguez was sworn in as Venezuela’s acting president.
