Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to provide on-call support for our existing website. Our current developer occasionally takes vacations, and we need someone reliable who can step in to make quick changes, updates, and enhancements to our site during those times. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in WordPress, including themes, plugins, SEO optimization, and general website maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Provide on-call support for our website, stepping in to make immediate updates or fixes as required.
Implement changes and updates to the website, including content updates, plugin management, theme adjustments, and layout modifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with the site’s functionality or performance.
Optimize the website for search engines using the latest SEO techniques and best practices.
Ensure the website’s security by keeping WordPress and all plugins up to date.
Collaborate with our team to discuss and implement new website features or improvements.
Provide recommendations for enhancing the website’s performance, user experience, and SEO ranking.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of previous work.
Expertise in WordPress themes, plugins, and widgets.
Strong understanding of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Experience with SEO optimization techniques and tools.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English.
Available to provide on-call support, with the flexibility to respond to urgent requests promptly.
Familiarity with website security practices and the ability to keep the site secure against potential threats.
Additional Skills:

Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
Knowledge of Google Analytics and other web analytics tools.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Compensation:

This is an on-call contract position. Compensation will be based on the complexity and urgency of tasks performed.
Rates to be discussed based on experience and availability.
