Hey there,

Novus Studio is seeking for a senior-level NodeJS developer with experience in developing middleware applications to serve as a bridge between a website and a MongoDB database. This is a long term position where you’ll be one of the main back-end developers of a next-gen eCommerce application. Our application and database architecture is already set but needing quite a few tweaks and improvements!

Responsibilities:
• Maintain a NodeJS application that will act as middleware between a website and a MongoDB database, and database to the app interface.
• Receive data in JSON format from the website and store it in the MongoDB database.
• Implement/develop appropriate security measures to protect the middleware and the database.
• Optimize the database response times for scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Documentation the code and provide support for debugging and maintenance.

Requirements:
• At least 3 years of experience in NodeJS development.
• Strong knowledge of MongoDB, including database design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, data interchange formats, and cronjobs.
• Good understanding of web application security and data privacy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Nice to have:
• Experience with Svelte, HTML, CSS, and front-end web development.
• Familiarity with AWS.
• Familiarity with Netlify and other deployment tools.
