I work for the National Football League and we need an app to help our officials, coaches, and spectators for NFL Flag Football games (see www.nflflag.com) and we’d like to call this app NFL Flag GM for both Apple and Android.  Importantly, we would need to have a number of core features for game management such as the game clock and scores that can be shared with hundreds of users in real time as well as integrate schedules and rosters via API or csv spreadsheets.  

We have identified an existing app that we don’t own or have the source code for but that we could use as a baseline to improve upon while adding features as well as improving the look and feel of the interface.  The existing app is My Game Score Flag Football that has base function of game time, time outs, play clock, score (see https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mygamescore-flag-football/id1357841701).  Other working examples of similar game management apps are AFFL GO and Gamechanger, you can look those up on either app store.

Most crucially, the NFL Flag GM app needs to provide the following central features:
– User login (Administrator, scorekeeper, coach, or spectator logins)
– Payment portal, recurring subscription payments of $0.99 / month
– Field locator (By postal code or phone geo location, then choose field / teams by time)
– Game clock (12 minute, 20 minute, or 24 minute halves)
– Time outs (3 per game per team)
– Game downs (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th down)
– Game scores (Touchdown = 6, Long extra point = 2, Short extra point = 1)
– Penalties (Offense or Defense)
– Real time sharing of game experience for all users

Once the core functionality was complete with the above features, we could examine adding in these other additional features, perhaps on a PRO tier that users could add for an additional $0.99 recurring charge per month with:
– Full list of NFL Flag penalties drop down
– Schedule  and standings integration
– Roster integration and adding statistics like touchdowns scored or interceptions
– Capability for sharing pics and video on Facebook/Instagram

I didn’t build the existing app – that is just a basic version I’d like to use as a starting point.
Once we build the core functionality above, we’d want to integrate schedules, like those available at the link below (either by API or by .csv upload by administrator).

Moving forward, as mentioned we could develop the capability for parents and spectators to add pictures and video or otherwise integrate with facebook or instagram posts, comments, etc.

We also have rosters of all players that could be connected via API and/or upload by .csv so could keep stats as well – the specific stats could be developed in time, as could more specific dropdowns for offensive and defensive penalties.
