GiftList (giftlist.com) is the all-in-one gifting platform, which makes gifting easy for birthdays, holidays, and more. We have several features including gift registries, gift exchanges, gift guides, occasions tracking, and ecards. We’re seeking a new development team to work with on an ongoing basis.
Initial tasks will include:
1. Code review, clean-up, and Firestore database query optimizations
2. Technical SEO changes
3. Frontend site improvements (focused on Google core web vitals)
4. Minor bug fixes
From there we will shift to new feature development.

Firebase web app
Firestore database
Next JS frontend + Node JS backend
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Nginx servers
Wordpress (for our Shop and Blog sections)
Woocommerce (for Shop management)
Your first project will be helping with the following technical SEO improvements:
Update sitemap.
Fix URL structures and canonicals.
Optimize blog articles and product page URLs.
Implement structured data schema across various pages (FAQ, blog, product pages, etc.).
Adjust breadcrumb implementation for Shop, Blog, and Ecards pages.
Address specific issues highlighted in ahrefs SEO report.
Performance Optimization:
Resolve LCP and CLS issues as identified by PageSpeed Insights.
Review and optimize site caching logic.
Ensure proper metadata and image URLs for product category pages.
Requirements:
Proven experience in technical SEO and web performance optimization, especially for e-commerce platforms.
Familiarity with our tech stack and the ability to propose effective solutions.
Clear communication and transparency regarding capabilities and limitations.
Ability to work within a set timeline and provide regular updates.
Bonus:
Experience in migrating to Vercel and optimizing WordPress-based sites.
