We are a small software company located in Austria and started in 2010. We make simulation software for the fireworks industry, and for hobbyists. We have two types of product:

➤ FWsim Basic & FWsim Creative Edition, meant for enthusiasts and hobbyists. This is the only fireworks simulator of its kind on the market, and videos made with FWsim have been watched by more than 20 million people.
➤ FWsim Pro, designed for professional pyrotechnicians and fireworks companies. This is currently used by a couple of hundred of fireworks companies worldwide.

We are looking for a .NET Desktop Developer Freelancer to join the team. I am the founder and currently only developer. Since we are a small business, each new team member has substantial freedom and ability to influence the direction of the product and the engineering.

FWsim is a downloadable Desktop application written in C#. We target Windows only.

Most of the UI is built using Windows Forms. We usually do not write Windows Forms code directly. Rather, most of our Windows Forms screens are automatically generated from the data model, using a small library we developed.

We are currently moving away from Windows Forms, and developing our own UI library based on the Immediate Mode UI paradigm. A part of your work will be to expand that library.

FWsim contains a substantial amount of 3D graphics programming, including our own engine. However, most of the features we are adding now are independent of the graphics engine. Therefore, you do not need 3D programming experience.

Specific projects you would untertake:
➤ Rewrite and expand our PDF label export system
➤ Write your own high-performance table view control for our immediate mode custom UI library
➤ Build a crowdsourced translation system, so our users can help with the translations
➤ Fix problems in our old Windows Forms controls
