**Job Description:**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Android App Developer to join our dynamic team for the development of a cutting-edge Android application. This role is crucial to ensure seamless integration and functionality that aligns with our already successful iOS application. The ideal candidate will be involved in the development of new user interfaces, integration with new APIs, and ensuring a polished final product by the hard deadline of May 22nd (Completion by April 22nd, and one month for polish and bug fixing).

**Responsibilities:**

– Collaborate closely with the project team to develop a high-quality Android app, ensuring feature parity with the existing iOS app while integrating new user interfaces and APIs.
– Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Kotlin, utilizing Jetpack Compose for UI development.
– Dedicate 20-30 hours per week to the project, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
– Work under the guidance of a senior developer to understand the existing codebase, architecture, and adhere to established development practices.
– Actively participate in code reviews, pull requests, and team meetings to discuss progress and address any issues.
– Be adaptive and responsive to changes in project requirements and new feature integrations.
– Transition to a fixed-rate compensation structure upon establishing a good fit and clear understanding of the project requirements.

**Requirements:**

– Proven experience in Android app development, with a strong portfolio of released applications.
– High proficiency in Kotlin and a deep understanding of Jetpack Compose.
– Experience with integrating and managing APIs and third-party libraries.
– Ability to write clean, modular, and testable code.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn and share knowledge with team members.
– Ability to commit 20-30 hours per week to the project.

**Compensation:**

– The project will start on an hourly rate to ensure a good fit between the developer and the project requirements.
– A fixed rate will be negotiated based on a clearly defined scope of work, with the total compensation for the initial job in the ballpark of 8K USD (2K USD/Month)
– Additional compensation will be provided for post-deadline work, including bug fixes, polish, and the addition of small features.
