We need an experienced WordPress developer for two main tasks:
1. Migrate a client’s website from a hosted WordPress platform (using Elementor) to our hosting environment.
2. Create a method for bulk generation of geographic landing pages by city and zipcode.
About the Client
– Retail business with 3 physical store locations
– The current site uses WordPress for content management, but the actual shopping functionality is handled by a separate platform in an iframe.
– The website consists of 11 blog posts and 20 static pages
– There are additional generated pages for location and products. To be discussed.
Key Requirements
Website Migration
1. Migrate content from the existing WordPress site using available access levels
2. Recreate Elementor-based templates and layouts
3. Replicate current CSS and styling
4. Ensure all functionality is preserved in the new environment
5. Optimize the site for performance in the new hosting setup
6. Ensure seamless transition of all existing content (11 blog posts and 20 static pages)
Geographic Landing Page Creation
1. Develop a method to bulk create landing pages for different geographic locations (cities and zipcodes)
2. Ensure the method is scalable and can handle a large number of locations
3. Implement SEO best practices for location-based pages
4. Integrate the new landing pages with the existing e-commerce functionality
Skills Required
– Advanced WordPress development
– Elementor expertise
– CSS and custom theme development
– Website migration experience
– Problem-solving skills (working with limited WordPress access)
– Experience with bulk page creation in WordPress
– Knowledge of SEO best practices for local landing pages
– Familiarity with geolocation data and how to integrate it into WordPress
– Experience with e-commerce integrations in WordPress
Deliverables
1. Fully functional WordPress site in our hosting environment, maintaining all current functionality
2. A system or plugin for bulk creating geographic landing pages
Additional Notes
– We have access to the current WordPress site, but not administrator privileges
– The successful candidate will need to work within these access limitations to export available content and recreate elements that can’t be directly exported
– Experience with WordPress migration tools that work without full admin access is a plus
– The geographic landing page system should be user-friendly and allow for easy updates and maintenance
– The migration must ensure uninterrupted e-commerce functionality
