‘Manipur, Manipur’ slogans echoed in the Lok Sabha as two members from the strife-torn state began taking oath. The opposition raised the slogans amid recurring violence in Manipur which has been battered by ethnic clashes for more than a year now. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was seen giving a standing ovation to Manipur MP Alfred Kang-Ngam Arthur. BJP lost both Lok Sabha seats in Manipur to Congress which has accused the ruling party at centre and in state of not doing enough for Manipur.
