Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Node.js Developer to join our team on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side web application logic in Node.js, and for the development of back-end components connecting the application with other web services.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain server-side logic using Node.js.
Ensure high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.
Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
Implementation of security and data protection.
Integrate data storage solutions, which may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.
Collaborate with front-end developers on combining their front-end elements and components with the server side.
Write clear, maintainable, and documented code with solid test coverage.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Node.js developer.
Strong proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.
Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
Good understanding of server-side templating languages.
Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors.
Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5 and CSS3.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it, such as Express, StrongLoop, etc.
Familiarity with databases and their declarative query languages.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
Experience in building scalable and distributed cloud microservices.

Hourly Range: $15.00-$40.00
