As a Lead Software Engineer at Sourcefy, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our AI-powered supplier discovery and management platform. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with various team members to ensure the platform’s success. Our Techstack current involves react js and node js.

2. Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Leading the development team and making architectural decisions.
Ensuring code quality and managing technical debt.
Implementing new features and maintaining the platform.
Fixing bugs and troubleshooting issues.
Are you comfortable coordinating with the old agency that built our platform to learn the ropes and subsequently teach our new software engineers if help is needed?

3. Support and Resource Needs:
Given that you will be the only technical expert on the team, what kind of support or resources do you foresee needing to effectively fulfill your role? How do you plan to manage being the primary technical resource?

4. Experience with LAM:

Do you have any experiece with Linear Algebra, Algorithms, and Machine Learning (LAM)? While it’s not compulsory, we are interested in understanding your familiarity with these areas.

5. Role of LAM at Sourcefy:

At Sourcefy, LAM technologies play a significant role in enhancing our AI capabilities for supplier discovery and proposal management. Your ability to experiment with and integrate these technologies will be invaluable as we dive into the LAM world to build features like:

Utilizing AI tools to scour the web for potential suppliers, including navigating platforms like Alibaba.
Engaging in conversations with suppliers to gather relevant information and onboard them onto the Sourcefy platform.
Ensuring that new suppliers meet our quality standards and can fulfill the requirements of our buyers.
For Supplier Proposal Management:

Assisting existing suppliers in sending proposals to buyers through our web application.
Maintaining buyer/seller relationships by having conversations with buyers using seller accounts and updating buyers on new products.
Utilizing AI to match buyer scopes with suitable suppliers and facilitate proposal submissions.
Informing suppliers about the status of their proposals, ensuring they are aware of accepted proposals and next steps.
