Vretta is looking for a Layout Developer to join our Assessment Development Services team. This position requires excellent communication skills, creative problem solving ability, and a sound technical ability to be able to understand requirements, develop technological solutions, and maintain systems that support student learning and assessment. As a member of the Assessment Development Services team at Vretta, the Layout Developer must have the attitude and energy to innovate and build solutions that support student success.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including graphic designers and software developers, to create visually appealing and user-friendly layouts.
Work closely with instructional designers, graphic designers, and other teams to understand design objectives and implement layout solutions that align with the overall visual aesthetics and brand guidelines.
Optimize the user interface for a seamless and intuitive user experience. Implement best practices for UI design, considering user interaction and feedback.
Build functional and responsive layouts, ensuring compatibility across various browsers and devices.
Conduct thorough testing of layouts to identify and resolve any issues related to functionality, responsiveness, and performance. Debug and troubleshoot layout-related problems to ensure a smooth end-user experience.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, escalating complex problems as needed.
Develop user-friendly documentation and training resources to empower end-users.
Create and maintain documentation for layout development processes, coding standards, and guidelines. Ensure that documentation is comprehensive and accessible to team members.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to layout development. Integrate innovative and cutting-edge design techniques to enhance the overall quality of layouts.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
Proven experience in layout development for websites, applications, or digital platforms.
Experience in creating responsive layouts. Knowledge of responsive design frameworks and techniques.
Thorough understanding of responsive design principles, color theory, and typography. Ability to collaborate effectively with graphic designers to achieve cohesive and visually appealing layouts.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Familiarity with UX/UI design concepts.
Basic proficiency in  HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills to identify and address layout-related issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand design requirements, and articulate technical solutions.
Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends. Willingness to learn and implement new tools and techniques.
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of design elements and adherence to brand guidelines.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to a positive and creative work culture.
