US President-elect Donald Trump picked Kash Patel as the new director of the FBI. Patel will replace current FBI director Christopher A. Wray three years before his term expires. In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised Patel as “a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and ‘America First’ fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending justice, and protecting the American people.”
