An Israeli think tank has warned that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s direct attack on Houthis may backfire. The Israeli Institute for National Security Research said, “Arms smuggling will continue and even increase, and the attack will not deter or stop Houthi attacks but could actually increase them.” On July 20, Israeli fighter jets bombed the Houthi-controlled Yemeni port city of Hodeidah. While Israel claimed Houthi military infrastructure was targeted, Houthi said oil facilities were hit.
