The IDF carried out a strike on a school in Khan Younis, killing 29 Palestinians on July 9. The strike hit the gate of Al-Awda School in Abasan, near the southern city of Khan Younis. According to the military, the strike targeted a Hamas member who participated in the October 7 terror onslaught that triggered the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.
