Israel lost its cool while Hamas and Palestinian Authority celebrated Spain, Norway and Ireland’s announcement to recognise the Palestinian state on May 28. Israeli foreign minister recalled ambassadors from the three nations, finance minister threatened to cut transfer of PA funds and national security minister said the decision was tantamount to rewarding Hamas.
