French President Emmanuel Macron spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this week amid heightened tensions with Hezbollah. According to the N12 report, Macron accused Netanyahu of pushing the region into war during the phone call. Macron urged Netanyahu to prevent escalation and adopt a diplomatic path. In response, the Israeli PM said, “Instead of putting pressure on us, it’s time for you to put pressure on Hezbollah.”
