Iran has accused Israel of planning a “false flag” operation to escalate the ongoing Middle East conflict. Ali Larijani alleged that Israel could stage a major terror-style incident on U.S. soil and blame Tehran in order to justify further military action. Iranian officials also claimed that Washington and Tel Aviv may have reverse-engineered the Shahed‑136 drone to conduct attacks across the Gulf region under a different name, accusing them of trying to frame Iran for strikes in countries such as Turkey, Kuwait, and Iraq.
