Iran has escalated its confrontation with the U.S. and Israel, unveiling its 87th wave of “Operation True Promise 4” as a major revenge strike it claims marks a new phase of the war. Tehran says it launched a mix of ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones on March 30, targeting what it calls U.S.–Israeli command centers, “pilot hideouts,” drone hangars, and arms warehouses across the region. The I.R.G.C. lists advanced missiles such as Emad, Qiam, and Khorramshahr‑4 among the weapons used, and claims it hit five U.S. bases as well as locations in Haifa Bay, Kiryat Shmona, Tel Aviv, Be’er Sheva, Dimona, Al‑Kharj, and Jufair. In a separate drone operation, Iran says it struck inside Israel’s cities, hitting infrastructure linked to defence giants Elbit Systems and Kanfit in Tel Aviv and Nof HaGalil, describing them as key hubs for missile, air‑defence and drone production, including systems like Iron Dome.
