Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh attended Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s funeral in Tehran. He was seen together with Hezbollah’s deputy leader Niam Qassem. This was Haniyeh’s first public appearance after an ICC arrest warrant against him was issued amid the Gaza war. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei led the funeral procession. Raisi’s body would be taken to his hometown Mashad for funeral in the evening.
