Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, lost one eye and his other was seriously wounded after a pager he was carrying exploded on September 17, according to the New York Times report. The Times of Israel, quoting Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps members, said Amani’s injuries were more serious than initially reported, and he would be taken to Tehran for treatment.
