Iran has accused the United States and Israel of conducting a “false-flag drone campaign” by deploying copycat versions of Iranian Shahed drones to frame Tehran for attacks across the Middle East. Iranian officials claim modified drones resembling the Shahed-136 were used in incidents across Turkey, Kuwait, and Iraq to damage Iran’s regional relationships and justify military pressure. The allegations come as drone warfare continues to reshape modern conflicts and tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States intensify. Meanwhile, Iranian lawmakers have also issued warnings regarding Ukraine’s involvement in counter-drone efforts supporting U.S. bases in the Middle East. Ukrainian specialists, experienced in combating Shahed drones during the war with Russia, have reportedly been deployed to Gulf states to strengthen regional defenses.
