The task is to integrate a new functionality into an existing web application. The application calculates soil quality for plots of land. A user may create many entries of plots for himself or on behalf of others. The user needs to be able to group plots together and display the overall statistics for the groups, yet currently, plots can not be grouped and no overall calculation is made or displayed. This task requires to learn the existing code base, which is more or less written in Vanilla JS. The estimate total amount of work is 20 hours, whereas 4 hours are needed to learn the code base (in conjunction with the main developer) and 16 hours to complete the task (give or take). If the code is delivered in a clean way, that adheres to the current code’s standard, a bonus will be paid.
