Our team is in search of a talented backend software developer who, under the direction of our CTO, can lead the development of our data ingestion pipeline. The right candidate has extensive experience working with large amounts of both qualitative and quantitative data. You understand techniques for storing, streaming, querying vast amounts of data and have strong opinions backed by real experience in database choice, design, architecture and implementation. You will also be responsible for designing and building the customer facing API for ingesting this data.

The candidate we’re looking for has a strong background in software engineering in a startup environment. You thrive in ambiguity and are able to solve problems as a team. We’ve already set the technical foundation and you’d be taking what’s been started by our founding team and helping us get it across the finish line.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate in developing an MVP focused data ingestion pipeline and API
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

Desired Skills:
• Expert in Typescript, Python, and Golang
• Expert in relational and nosql database design, architecture, implementation, scale, reliability, redundancy and recovery
• Expert in customer facing API design, best practices and implementation
• Experience with AI/LLM/NLP technologies preferred
• Experience with vector databases preferred
• Strong understanding of full-stack development principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English.

Hourly Range: $25.00-$50.00
