Im a medical specialist in Australia and looking to revamp my personal website to a more visually compelling, easy to use medical website for myself first up.

If that goes well I have a small medical practice i would like to build a site for which features some colleagues.

What I want to achieve is:

modern appearance
good user experience, quick to load etc
SEO friendly to seek out local ranking for relevant keywords
sort out formatting to look good and consistent

Ability for me to add content over time (I am familiar with wordpress and just add blog articles etc as I do new events and research etc.

I want to write more and more deep content over time to make the site a more useful resource for patients so I would like a structure that can expand without breaking it.

Once built, I’d like to own the site entirely without being dependent on a third party company (eg wix?)

I like the appearance of sites with lots of video and pics and I have some video and images we can use.

I’d ideally also like a functional booking system and patient contact form they can fill for an appointment.
