Iranian ballistic missiles struck the central Israeli city of Beit Shemesh in the latest escalation of cross-border hostilities, causing significant casualties and structural damage. Israeli authorities confirmed that 37 missiles were launched toward Israel in the barrage, with at least one making a direct hit on a residential building in Beit Shemesh, reportedly causing part of the structure to collapse. Six people were killed and around 20 others injured, including victims near a synagogue that was also struck. The Israel Defense Forces acknowledged that the missile was not intercepted, raising questions about the performance of Israel’s multi-layered air defense network, including the Iron Dome system. Sirens sounded across large parts of the country, from the northern border down to Beersheba, as emergency services rushed to impacted sites. Watch the video for the latest update.
