Israeli Defence Forces Spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said in a press conference on July 27 that “an alert was activated, but it was an immediate alert that was too short.” Hagari added, “We are now looking into this in-depth and will release the details transparently to the public.” Times of Israel also reported that Israel sounded warning sirens before the deadly rocket attack in Majdal Shams, but it was too short of notice for the victims to flee.
