Israel has intensified its military campaign against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, conducting a wave of drone and airstrikes targeting the Iran-backed group’s infrastructure and key operatives. The IDF said it killed a Hezbollah operative involved in restoring the group’s military capabilities and advancing attacks against Israel. Lebanon’s president has ordered the army to confront any potential Israeli incursions, as casualties were reported among civilians caught in the crossfire. Despite the ceasefire reached in late 2023, reports say Hezbollah has been rearming, stockpiling rockets, anti-tank missiles, and artillery with Iranian support.
