Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on May 15 said that he was ready to engage in peace talks with India. Sharif said, “We are ready to talk with it [India] for peace,” during a visit to Pakistan’s Kamra Air Force base in its Punjab province, as per PTI. Sharif, however, linked the peace offer to Kashmir. Sharif’s statement came days after the Indian military struck several Pakistani airbases and terrorist infrastructure under Operation Sindoor to avenge the April 22nd Pahalgam terror attack.
