Delhi Police on Feb 21 sought a five-day remand of four arrested Indian Youth Congress workers over the shirtless protest at Bharat Mandapam during the India AI Impact Summit, telling a Delhi court that the custody was necessary to trace other accused who fled, recover mobile phones and verify whether any funding was involved. Prosecutors also told the court that anti-national slogans were raised in the presence of international leaders and that three policemen were injured, while the defence maintained it was a lawful protest and alleged the FIR was politically motivated. The four accused have been identified as Krishna Hari, Kundan Yadav, Ajay Kumar and Narasimha Yadav, as per reports.
