The Lebanon-based militant group Hezbollah launched hundreds of rockets and drones towards Israel on August 25. In a statement, Hezbollah said it targeted 11 Israeli military bases. It also said the rocket barrage had completed “the first phase” of its response to the assassination of its top commander, Fuad Shukr, in Beirut on July 30. Hezbollah said a full response would take “some time.”
