US President Joe Biden is closely monitoring the situation after Iran-backed Hezbollah fired over 300 rockets and missiles towards Israel and IDF conducted preemptive strikes on Lebanon. The White House said “Biden has been engaged with his national security team throughout the evening, and senior US officials have been communicating continuously with their Israeli counterparts.” Israeli defence minister Yoav Gallant also briefed his US counterpart Lloyd Austin after IDF conducted precise strikes in Lebanon in order to thwart an imminent threat.
