Al-Qassam spokesman Abu Obaida hailed Maher al-Jazi, the Jordanian truck driver who killed 3 Israeli civilians at the Allenby Bridge crossing on September 8, as a “hero” in defense of Al-Aqsa. In his statement, Abu Obaida described al-Jazi’s actions as more effective than the armies of nations and referred to him as one of the heroes of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation. The crossing, a key point between Jordan and the West Bank, was the site of the deadly attack.
