Overview
We are LiveO2, a leading company in oxygen training systems, and we are seeking a full-time WordPress developer to join our team. This role will focus on updating and enhancing our website, prime.liveo2.com, with a significant amount of upcoming work involving website design and buildout, custom WordPress Development, online training and education platform development, and video hosting.

Job Description
We need a highly skilled WordPress plugin developer who can also handle theme work. This position requires a hands-on developer who will be directly accountable for their work. We are not looking for a manager but someone who can execute tasks efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
Update and enhance the theme and design of prime.liveo2.com.
Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins.

Build and optimize an online training and education platform.
Implement video hosting solutions.

Work closely with our team to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality results.

Ensure accountability and direct communication regarding project progress and completion.

Required Skills and Qualifications
PHP: Proficiency in creating and customizing WordPress plugins and themes.

JavaScript: Experience with creating dynamic and interactive elements; familiarity with jQuery and other libraries.

HTML: Strong understanding of structuring web content, crucial for theme and plugin development.

CSS: Expertise in styling and layout of WordPress themes; knowledge of preprocessors like SASS or LESS is a plus.

MySQL: Ability to manage databases, including understanding interactions and optimization within WordPress.

WordPress Codex and API: Deep knowledge of WordPress functions, hooks, filters, and REST API for building integrations.

Elementor: Proficiency in using Elementor for theme customization and page building.

Project Management Tools: Experience with Basecamp or similar tools to stay organized and manage tasks effectively.

Debugging and Performance Optimization: Skills in identifying and fixing bugs and optimizing WordPress performance.

API Integrations: Knowledge of integrating third-party services and APIs.

Security Best Practices: Understanding of WordPress security measures and practices.

Candidate Requirements
Self-starter with excellent time management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively and be accountable for their work.

Must be able to work independently and be responsible for project execution from start to finish.

Be available to speak and collaborate with team members in real-time during normal business hours, 9am – 5pm MST.
