Our established creative agency in Canada seeks a positive, dynamic full-stack web freelancer who’s a self-starter, motivated about his craft, and 100% client-focused.

This is an exciting opportunity to engage in varied web-related ongoing tasks, progressing to complete website design and development for our diverse clientele. If we are a great fit, your initial contributions on a freelance basis will pave the way to a full-time remote position with our growing agency.

// Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, and deliver web-related tasks and optimizations of varying levels
• Customize and maintain fully responsive websites using high-quality WordPress themes or develop fully functioning, fully responsible custom WordPress websites from PSD or Figma designs.
• Implement and manage WordPress plugins (like Updraft, Contact Form 7, Rankmath, Duplicate page, Coming Soon plugins (CMP), etc.).
• Diagnose and fix on and off-page website errors and issues using tools like AHREFS, Google page speed, Search Console, GTMetrix, Ubersuggest, etc.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Optimize websites for speed and performance, avoiding unnecessary plugins.
• Demonstrate strong website design knowledge, including layout, design concepts, colour and typography, content hierarchy, etc.
• Apply SEO best practices in web development.
• Significant experience using page builders (e.g., WPBakery-Most commonly used by us or Elementor)
•  Manage hosting dashboards (e.g., Siteground), and handle website migrations and email setups.
• Enhance site security and user experience (e.g., integrating reCAPTCHA and Google Maps API).
• Be responsive and available during MST (Edmonton time zone) for quick turnaround on requests.

• Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, fluent in English and a client-centric approach to their work.
• Proven experience in responsive (Mobile-friendly) WordPress website development and theme customization.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS and ability to customize when needed.
• A keen eye for website design, UX and UI and layout fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of SEO principles and application in web development.
• Experience with various page builders, hosting services, and development environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues related to website performance and functionality.
• Prompt responsiveness and availability in MST (Edmonton time zone).
