adminThe ideal candidate will preferably have at least 1-2 years of experience working with Expo/React Native apps with AWS back-ends, and would ideally have shipped, whether individually or as part of a team, at least 1-2 such apps.

Front-end:
– Expo + React Native
– React Query + Axios
– React Context API
– Various Expo and React Native front-end libraries
Back-end:
– AWS API Gateway
– AWS Lambda, S3
– Node.js
– Postgres (on RDS)
Misc:
– External APIs (e.g. Google Maps API)
We’ll start with a test project focusing on a specific part of the app (e.g. API for creating reports + integrating it with the front-end), with the potential for continued work if it goes well. This role requires both front-end and back-end development skills, with experience with the AWS technologies above being essential.
Design and initial front-end functionality will be provided by the team, but do note that you might be required to improve the interactivity of and fix bugs in the front-end where needed, in addition to working with internal/external APIs and the back-end.
Individual freelancers are strongly preferred. We work in sprints (e.g. front-end functionality to be achieved + API route and back-end logic required), with hourly rates being preferred. Upwork time tracker is preferred but we’ll accept manual time if you’re able to keep your time logged within reasonable levels (e.g. within the time estimated for each sprint).
