Project Description:
We are seeking an experienced and flexible Full-Stack Developer to join our team on a freelance basis for our ongoing project, a Pay-Per-View (PPV) video service platform.
The project is about 50% completed. The initial architecture has been set, and many core features are operational. The role will involve both building new features and refining existing ones, and you will be integral in helping carry the load and drive the project to completion.
There is an experienced Lead Full Stack Developer involved who has done the initial development on the project. Although he is currently engaged with another project, he will be actively assisting you and will take calls to make sure you onboard to the project quickly (He is very easy to collaborate with and friendly).
Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the lead developer to understand project requirements and existing implementations.
– Develop and enhance features in both the frontend and backend of our monolith application, including:
— User Video Stores
— Upgrading our admin dashboard and user dashboards
— Video Processing Features
— User settings
— Moderation and reporting
— Implementing an unusual Payment Processor
— Complex Analytics with Dashboards
— Implementing a referral system
— Emails
— 2FA
– Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
– Test and debug new features before deployment to ensure functionality and user experience.
– Assist in the integration and update of our database using MySQL and Prisma.
– Provide regular updates and participate in team meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
– Strong experience with React.js and TailwindCSS.
– Proficient in backend development with Node.js and Express.js.
– Solid understanding of MySQL and experience with Prisma ORM.
– Experience with Vite or similar modern frontend build tools.
– Good understanding of API design and development.
– Ability to write well-documented, clean JavaScript code.
– Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
Nice to Have:
– Experience with AWS is a bonus although we care more that you are a good developer so it’s not essential as our other team member can manage this if needed.
Working Arrangement:
– This is a remote position. We expect a commitment of at least 20 hours per week, with flexibility depending on project phases and deadlines.
– We will supply a ChatGPT premium subscription and GitHub Copilot subscription to help speed up your development.
– We also have a license for TailwindUI you can use.
Compensation:
– Hourly rate is negotiable, but we do have a total budget in mind.
– We will provide a finishing bonus of $500 on completion of the app as an incentive and a thank you as we are behind schedule!
– There may be a full-time position in the future if we have a successful launch of the platform.
– We will provide a glowing reference for you to any future jobs.
