Overview:
We are looking for 1 to 2 experienced Senior Python Backend Developer to lead the backend development of our network observability solution for Wi-Fi and cellular networks. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Python, FastAPI, and AWS EKS, along with a strong background in architecting and scaling microservices.

Responsibilities:

    – Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend components and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
    – Help architect scalable, reliable, and high-performance microservices solutions.
    – Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment with growth mindset.
    – Conduct code reviews, ensure code quality, and enforce best practices.
    – Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.
    – Troubleshoot complex issues and optimize system performance.
    – Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies, driving continuous improvement in the development process.

Requirements:

    – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    – 5+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
    – Proven expertise with the FastAPI framework.
    – Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes, specifically AWS EKS.
    – Proven track record of designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
    – Strong understanding of microservices architecture and principles.
    – Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
    – Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    – Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

    – Experience with observability/monitoring systems in general or network monitoring tools in particular.
    – Experience with message queues and asynchronous processing (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
    – Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
    – Knowledge of database technologies such as PostgreSQL or Redis.
    – Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced development environment.

Hourly Range: $30.00-$50.00
