As Turkey erupts in protests following the arrest of President Erdogan’s rival, Ankara’s NATO ally had a firm message for the nation. During the briefing on March 19, State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce said US would encourage Turkey to respect human rights but wouldn’t comment on internal decision making process of another country.
