Fractional (Part-time, Contractual)
As the Fractional CTO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology strategy and ensuring the seamless integration and optimization of our data processes. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, and leveraging advanced analytics to drive decision-making. This role requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
– Develop and implement the technology vision and strategy in alignment with the company’s goals.
– Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and prioritize technology initiatives that drive business value.
– Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
2. Data Engineering and Integration:
– Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and transformation.
– Optimize OLAP processes for robust data warehousing and reporting capabilities.
– Lead the integration of various data sources and APIs, ensuring seamless data exchange and system interoperability.
3. Technical Expertise and Implementation:
– Provide hands-on technical leadership in Python, R, Scala, and BI tools to support data engineering and analytics efforts.
– Guide the development and deployment of AI, NLP, and LLM-based solutions to enhance data processing and decision-making.
– Utilize Amazon Kinesis and other streaming technologies for real-time data processing and analytics.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
– Mentor and lead a team of data engineers and developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions align with business requirements and deliver value.
5. Operational Excellence:
– Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of technology solutions.
– Establish and enforce best practices for data governance, quality, and compliance.
– Monitor and manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Qualifications:
-Education:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
-*Experience:
– Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior technology leadership role, preferably as a CTO or similar.
– Extensive experience with ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and OLAP systems.
– Demonstrated expertise in Python, R, Scala, and various BI tools.
– Strong background in API integrations and real-time data processing technologies like Amazon Kinesis.
– Hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Large Language Models (LLMs).
– Skills:
– Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
– Strong leadership and team management skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and relevant technologies.
– Proven track record of successfully leading technology transformations and delivering innovative solutions.
