Former Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has blamed the United States for Ebrahim Raisi’s death. Zarif said U.S. sanctions on Iran compromised Tehran’s access to modern aviation facilities, thus implicating Washington. Raisi was flying in U.S.-made two-blade Bell 212, believed to have been a decade old. Meanwhile, U.S. Defence Secretary Llyod Austin has said that U.S. had no role to play in Raisi’s death.
