Hezbollah militants claimed “casualties” on Israeli soldiers amid the IDF’s ground invasion of South Lebanon. In a statement, Hezbollah said its fighters attacked Israeli forces who were attempting to infiltrate the town of Odaisseh in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah said a “huge explosion” forced the IDF unit to retreat. Fight between Hezbollah and Israeli forces also broke out in Kfar Yuval and Khallet Abeer in Yiron, south Lebanon, on the intervening nights of October 4 and 5.
