We are seeking an experienced backend developer with a strong background in optimizing video-based applications, similar to TikTok. Our current backend which is written in Python is functional, but we are facing issues with video loading speeds and are looking for an expert to help us enhance our system for faster and more efficient video delivery.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze and optimize our current backend infrastructure for improved video loading speeds.
• Work on backend admin panel to make it more presentable.
• Work on APIs to provide Apps content in better and faster ways.
• Implement advanced video encoding and compression techniques to reduce video size without compromising quality.
• Leverage CDN (Content Delivery Network) solutions to ensure videos are delivered quickly and reliably to users across different geographic regions.
• Collaborate with our existing development team to integrate optimizations seamlessly.
• Monitor and troubleshoot any issues related to video delivery and loading times.
• Provide recommendations for ongoing improvements to maintain high performance.

Requirements:
• Proven experience in developing and optimizing backend systems for video-based applications.
• Deep understanding of CDN technologies and how to leverage them for video delivery.
• Expertise in video encoding and compression techniques.
• Strong knowledge of adaptive bitrate streaming (ABR) protocols like HLS and DASH.
• Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Go, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS) for storage and CDN solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience working on high-traffic video applications similar to TikTok.
• Knowledge of modern video codecs (H.264, H.265, VP9) and compression tools (FFmpeg).
• Understanding of HTTP/2, HTTP/3, and QUIC protocols.
• Experience with real-time analytics and monitoring tools.
