The ideal candidate will work on the backend of our existing website, which is currently running on OpenCart with a PHP framework. The frontend of the website is already developed, and your focus will be on enhancing and making the backend functionalities.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand and analyze the existing OpenCart PHP website to integrate new features and improvements.
Collaborate with our project management team to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
Develop, test, and implement new backend features in line with our points-based system, which includes free points from purchases, paid points, staking rewards, and cryptocurrency conversion capabilities.
Troubleshoot, debug and optimize backend code to improve performance and scalability.
Ensure high-quality coding standards and maintain documentation for new and existing features.
Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Provide regular updates and reports to the project management team.
Requirements:
Proven experience in OpenCart and PHP development.
Strong understanding of database management and web technologies.
Experience in developing e-commerce platforms, particularly with points-based systems, is highly desirable.
Knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, PHP, OPENCART) for effective collaboration with frontend developers.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hourly Range: $10.00-$60.00
