We are a small but growing flying school passionate about providing top-notch flight training and experiences. Annually, we serve 40 to 50 students, operate four small aircraft, and work with three part-time instructors. Our operations are managed through a paper-based system, which we are keen to evolve into a paperless, integrated online system to enhance our efficiency and service quality.
Project Overview:
We seek an experienced Microsoft Access developer to help us transition to a paperless system. The ideal candidate will design and develop a custom MS Access database that enables:
Online Form Submissions: Students should be able to fill out and submit their details through online forms.
Maintenance & Flying Records Management: The system should maintain detailed records of aircraft maintenance and student flying hours.
Data Integration: Ability to access and query multiple databases for analysis, potentially integrating data stored on OneDrive.
Template Utilization: Convert our extensive collection of PDF and Word document templates into forms and reports within the system.
Requirements:
Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying custom database solutions using Microsoft Access.
Ability to work with cloud storage solutions, preferably OneDrive, for data access and management.
Experience in converting PDF and Word documents into database templates.
Strong communication skills to understand our operational needs and provide a tailored solution.
Ability to create user-friendly interfaces for non-technical users.
Knowledge of data security best practices to ensure the protection of sensitive information.
