Job Overview:
Hostbuddy AI, a pioneering company in AI-powered guest service automation for short-term property rental managers, is seeking a talented and experienced frontend developer to lead the migration of our web application frontend from WordPress to a more streamlined and efficient framework.

The WordPress website is sophisticated and consists of 10-20 distinct pages, uses a custom theme, and contains extensive custom and dynamic functionality. It fetches and posts dynamic user data from/t0 the backend using an API, and implements robust logic to render and display the data on the frontend.

The requirement is to implement the website frontend in one of Vue.js, Next.js, or React, while completely replicating the appearance and functionality of the existing website. The ideal candidate will be experienced and proficient both in WordPress, and in any one of those frameworks (Vue.js, Next.js, or React). Additionally, there is an opportunity for continued contract work as we expand and enhance our newly migrated frontend.

Responsibilities:
* Analyze and understand our current WordPress-based frontend and work closely with our technical team to define the best path for migration to Vue.js, React, or Next.js, based on our application’s needs.
* Implement a stateless frontend architecture that interacts seamlessly with our existing backend API, ensuring fast, dynamic data rendering.
* Ensure the new frontend maintains the current UI/UX design as closely as possible, translating existing features and functionality into the new framework while optimizing performance and scalability.
* Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve any issues arising from the migration, ensuring a smooth transition.
* Provide documentation and support to our technical team throughout the migration process, facilitating knowledge transfer and enabling efficient future development.

Requirements:
* Communication: We believe that direct and frequent collaboration between developers is the key to effective execution. Responsive and effective communication is a must. You will frequently communicate directly with the company’s technical leadership and backend developers in English. You should be able to handle this communication independently and without any intermediary. English language proficiency is preferred but not required; use of language translation software is fine.
* High level of experience and proficiency in WordPress, PHP, and custom themes is a must. You will need to analyze and understand the existing WordPress website and custom theme code.
* High level of experience and proficiency in either Vue.js, Next.js, or React, and proficiency in modern JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related development tools and methodologies.
* Commitment to high-quality code and an understanding of the importance of maintainability, scalability, and performance.
* Solid understanding of stateless application architecture and its implementation in dynamic, data-driven web applications.
* Experience integrating with backend APIs to fetch and post data.
